Owning an electric vehicle costs less than a comparable gasoline-powered car, according to a new report from Coltura. The organization's EV Savings Index shows that the average American driver who drives 15,000 miles a year can save $1,396 a year by switching to an EV. That includes fuel and maintenance costs.
