EVA Board Selects National Officers
The Electric Vehicle Association (EVA) is thrilled to announce key changes to our Board of Directors, reflecting a continued commitment to dynamic leadership and the acceleration of electric vehicle adoption nationwide. These updates bring fresh perspectives as we steer toward a cleaner transportation future.
We extend our appreciation to Elaine Borseth, who has concluded her impactful term as president. Over more than three years, Elaine’s visionary leadership and steadfast commitment played a crucial role in advancing the association’s growth, visibility, and impact. We are pleased that Elaine will continue to serve as a valued member of the Board.
“Her efforts in EV education and her famous cross-country EV journeys have inspired many, and we look forward to her continued contributions,” said Terri Kirsch, who was elected by the Board of Directors to succeed Elaine as president
Kirsch previously served as our vice president. Terri has been a driving force within EVA, bringing extensive experience in EV education and community engagement with her business, EV Options. Her work has significantly contributed to our goal of making electric mobility accessible and understandable for all.
Kate Kruk will take on the role of vice president. Kate's deep involvement in fostering EV communities and her expertise in developing partnership engagement at Lynkwell make her an invaluable asset to our leadership team. Her commitment to expanding EV awareness and her practical approach to overcoming adoption barriers will be crucial as we move forward.
Andy Fraser has assumed the role of treasurer, where he will oversee the financial stability of the organization and work closely with our chapters to ensure we continue down our path of financial strength. Andy’s experience with his own business, E-Motion, and background at our District of Columbia (EVADC) chapter makes him a perfect fit for the role.
John Higham has accepted a new position as our first vice president of communications and public affairs. John is already the EVA’s leader in media, where he has been interviewed and quoted by numerous news outlets including PNS, NPR, and Fox Business. His expertise in the EV industry, specifically in regards to regulations, engineering, and supply chains, makes him the premier spokesperson for our organization.
Elvia Thompson will continue in her role as secretary. Elvia’s attention to detail, organizational strength, and dedication to the EVA community make her an essential part of our leadership team. Elvia was secretary of EVADC for several years and has often testified about EV-related legislation before local, state and national governments.
Finally, EVA warmly welcomes Charlotte Abiodun Epee WillSuN as a new addition to our Board of Directors. She is the founder of BlackBumble, a boutique talent placement agency and career fair operator with a heavy focus on tech and the clean energy workforce. She is also the founder of BIPOC Startups, a nonprofit organization focused on increasing the number of BIPOC (black, indigenous, and people of color) founders in fintech, creative tech, the clean energy sector and educating BIPOCs about clean energy. New voices are vital to our growth, and we look forward to the contributions Charlotte will bring to the board.
“These leadership changes mark a significant and positive step for the Electric Vehicle Association. We are confident that with the combined experience, passion, and dedication of our entire board, EVA will continue to lead the charge in educating the public, advocating for supportive policies, and building a strong community of EV enthusiasts,” Kirsch said
Join us in congratulating our new and transitioning board officers and welcoming Charlotte to the team! Together, we are powering a cleaner, more sustainable future, one electric mile at a time!
