EVA Celebrates the Freedom to Drive EVs at the Ingham County Fair In Michigan
The Electric Vehicle Association and volunteer members of the Southwest Michigan EVA chapter are thrilled to announce we're bringing an electrifying experience to the Lansing region. We're launching our Freedom to Drive campaign at the renowned Ingham County Fair.
Mark your calendars for Monday, July 28, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join us along the fairgrounds midway for an evening of discovery, community, and the exciting future of transportation.
What is Freedom to Drive?
We believe that driving electric is about more than just new technology; it's about embracing a new kind of freedom:
FREEDOM TO SAVE: No family should be forced to choose between a bag of groceries and half a tank of gas. There must be affordable, reliable, USA-made cars at every price point — we’re calling on policymakers to protect the freedom to drive electric.
FREEDOM TO BREATHE CLEAN AIR: Electric cars and trucks reduce pollution and help fight back against asthma, cancer, and chronic disease. Let’s protect our freedom to breathe by protecting the freedom to drive electric.
FREEDOM TO RIDE: EVs aren’t just for drivers — electric buses are delivering lower costs, higher reliability, and cleaner air for students and transit riders across the country. Let’s protect the freedom to ride electric.
FREEDOM TO BUILD: The clean vehicle industry supports more than 410,000 U.S. jobs. Clean cars and trucks policies keep jobs in America. Let’s protect the freedom to expand our manufacturing industry and the freedom to drive electric.
FREEDOM TO DRIVE ELECTRIC: Americans value freedom and economic opportunity should drive our transportation sector — not partisan politics. Let’s protect the freedom to enjoy all of the financial, health, and performance benefits of EVs.
An Unforgettable Evening at the Ingham County Fair
The Ingham County Fair isn't just a midsummer event; it's an experience all on its own. For 171 years, the fair has offered livestock shows and auctions, carnival rides, food vendors, games and more.
The EVA is proud to sponsor the Military Appreciation Dinner at the fair on Monday, July 28. EVA and our Southwestern Michigan EVA chapter also are Friend of the Fair sponsors. We’ll will have a prime display located along the midway. You can't miss us!
