Get Involved This April

If you have ever been curious about electric vehicles, or if you are an owner looking to share your experience, there is no better time than now. Mark your calendars for April 1 – April 30! Look for the blue tents, look for the EVA logo, and come ready to talk to the people who are driving the future, today.

As April arrives, so does a renewed focus on our planet and a cleaner future. While Earth Day is a single day on the calendar, the movement toward sustainable transportation deserves a much bigger spotlight. Enter Drive Electric Earth Month (DEEM), a nationwide celebration taking place from April 1 through April 30.

What is Drive Electric Earth Month?

DEEM is a national campaign that seeks to educate the public on the transition to electric vehicles. Born out of a collaboration between major national organizations, the month-long campaign is designed to bridge the gap between curiosity and ownership.

It is an opportunity for the public to move past the headlines and internet rumors and actually experience the technology firsthand. Through a massive network of events, attendees can see the latest EVs, ask questions about charging infrastructure, and learn about the environmental and economic benefits of driving electric.

EVA Chapters: Leading the Charge Nationwide

While DEEM is a collaborative national effort, the boots-on-the-ground success of the campaign is largely driven by the EVA.

Year after year, EVA chapters consistently organize and host the highest number of registered DEEM events across the country. From big cities to small towns, it is the passionate EVA volunteers who secure the venues, bring the cars, and set up the information booths. This grassroots leadership is what EVA is all about!

Talk with an EV Owner

The essence of what makes these EVA-hosted events so successful: at the core of these events isn't just the machinery; it’s the people. This is the EVA’s superpower. Rather than getting a sales pitch from a dealership, attendees get honest, real-world experience from neighbors who drive these cars every day.

Whether it’s showing off the "frunk" (front trunk) of a Ford F-150 Lightning or explaining how road trips work, EVA members provide the transparency and enthusiasm that helps prospective buyers feel comfortable making the switch.
